Hi every one, I am Rehana and I have been taking walks 2 1/2 miles every day to stay fit, healthy and lose weight for about 10 years.
During this time period there was a time came when I started to feel pain in my heals which stopped me to walk for several months. I tried many different walking brands but none of them solved my feet pain problem. one day I walked to Nordstron in search for a pair of good shoes. I told the sales person about my heal pain. He told me I need a good shock absorbing shoe with good arch support. He helped me to purchase a pair of shoes according to my wide and slightly overpronated feet type. My feet pain was gone in few weeks and I was able to start my fitness walking exercise again.
I created this website to help people like yourself to find right kind of shoes depending on your foot type and the type and distance of walking. Therefore I am going to share with you my personal experience with you how choosing a wrong kind of walking shoe caused a foot problem called plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis can be prevented and healed by wearing well cushioned and supportive shoes.
My Journey of exercise walking with plantar fasciitis
In order to stay healthy and fit, healthy feet are my priority. You can not walk if your feet are achy. If you do not walk, then you will eventually start gaining weight and thats what happened to me when I started to deveolp plantar fasciitis. Once you start gaining weight, then you are at risk of deveoping diabetes, heart disease and knee joint and foot problems.
If your lifestyle is active like myself, then you need to learn how to buy a perfect pair of shoes for different kind of activities. For example you can not wear walking shoes while you run. However you can wear running shoes while you walk.
